The Child Abuse Identification / Mandated Reporter Workshop, also known as Child Abuse
Prevention (CAP) training, is required by the New York State Education Department
(NYSED) for teacher certification and professional licensure.
This workshop fulfills the NYSED requirement for mandated reporters and includes the NEW
2025–26 Child Abuse Addendum.
All training is delivered online and includes electronic submission directly to NYSED
certification and licensing divisions, including the TEACH system and the Office of the
Professions.
This workshop includes the required Child Abuse Addendum pertaining to Individuals with an Intellectual or Developmental Disability, as mandated by recent NYSED regulatory updates. Completion of the updated course ensures full compliance with current New York State law.
